How to integrate Tuya devices in Home Assistant

Tuya is an app for your mobile devices that helps you to manage your smart devices. You can turn your lights on and off for example.

If you’re like me, and you’re already using Home Assistant, you might be wondering how you can integrate these smart devices in your Home Assistant installation.

By including these Tuya devices in Home Assistant, you can include them in your automation scripts and manage all your devices from the Home Assistant app.

In this guide, we’ll go over the steps you’ll need to take to include your Tuya devices in Home Assistant.

  2. Create a Tuya Cloud account
  3. Create a Cloud project in the Tuya IoT platform
  4. Connect your Tuya mobile App to your Tuya Cloud account

Create a Tuya Cloud account

You’ve already created an account when you started using the Tuya app, but this is a different account than the Tuya Cloud account. You’ll need to create a separate Tuya IoT Platform account to enable integration with Home Assistant.
